Anthony Maschmedt is a lifelong Seattleite. He has been building homes in the Seattle area for the last 12 years. Anthony has been trailblazing with his work in energy efficient, green home building since Dwell Development’s inception and currently is co-chair of the Built Green Executive Committee. He continues to push the envelope in the sustainable community with innovative construction methods that have influenced and positively affected city building practices. In his free time, Anthony loves to play golf and spend time with his family.

Abbey Maschmedt grew up in Seattle’s South end, where she currently works and raises her family. Upon graduating from the Evergreen State College with a Bachelor of Arts, she worked in the building trades for over 20 years. In the last two years, she has joined forces with her husband, Anthony Maschmedt of Dwell Development. After building her own home and selecting all of the finishes, Abbey fell in love with design. She now makes all of the home selections and interfaces with the clients of Dwell Development. In her spare time she loves to travel with her two kids and husband.

Born and raised on the water on Bainbridge Island to a real estate and construction family.  Keith has been a part of real estate ventures since he was a kid.   Following in the family footsteps, he headed off to Oregon State University and graduated with a major in Business and a minor in Construction Management.  He later returned to school to obtain an MBA from Purdue University.  His comprehensive experience in construction runs the gamut from commercial to residential.  Early in his career, he worked for Baugh Skanska, a commercial general contractor, as a Project Engineer.  He also worked for Denver based, Sunshine Master Builders, where he developed over 500 lots.  In 2010, he started NW Investment Builders, a residential construction company, with his family.  Later he teamed up with Anthony Maschmedt to co-found Dwell NW.  When not building homes or spending time with his wife, Dana, and two kids, Keith can be found on the water racing sailboats.

Roland Williams

Site Supervisor


Roland is Dwell’s site supervisor and manages all phases of construction. Joining the Dwell team in 2006, he brings outstanding organizational skills gained through 15 years of work with the United Parcel Service. His attention to detail and ability to effectively communicate with clients and contractors ensure that the work gets done right and on-time. Roland is active in his community and spends much of his off time coaching and supporting Seattle’s athletic programs. He lives in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle with his wife, children, and family pets.

Aaron Yankauskas

Project Manager


Aaron is Dwell’s newest Project Manager and resident Passivhaus consultant. Having taken the road-less-traveled to construction, he worked for both architects and builders in his hometown of Boston before his affinity for well-designed, modern and sustainable homes brought him to Seattle in 2010. Aaron met Anthony while co-owning Brute Force Collaborative, the design and Passivhaus consultancy for Dwell’s first Passivhaus in Columbia City. Sharing Anthony’s passion for pushing the boundaries of sustainability and making every project better than the last, he joined Dwell’s team to implement the Passivhaus standard in more Dwell homes and aims to seamlessly integrate it into every one of Dwell’s projects. Aaron lives in Ballard, and in his spare time can be found rooting for his hometown teams or drinking one of Seattle’s finest microbrews.

Chris Lewis

Project Manager


Chris grew up in Seattle in a family of real estate oriented and architecturally minded professionals who own and manage apartment buildings in Ballard and Madison Park. He began mowing lawns at each property at age 12 before becoming the present leasing and managing manager of the portfolio of buildings. He has always loved building and design and started off majoring in architecture at UC Berkeley before finishing his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, where he was part of each school’s varsity tennis programs. Living a sustainable lifestyle has inspired him in his direction to build green for the betterment of our community and planet as a whole. Being part of Dwell’s always-present movement in this direction with cutting-edge and trend-setting technology and design keeps us all on our toes for a very bright and exciting future of development. He currently lives in the always fun and changing neighborhood of Ballard. He is very involved in the local community as a board member of the non-profit Sports In Schools, which helps local underprivileged students better themselves through the ability to play sports when they otherwise might not have the means to. Playing sports and taking local and long distance adventures are his favorite hobbies.

Axel Adalsteinsson

Site Superintendent


Axel Adalsteinsson, Dwell’s Superintendent, has had vast experience in all facets of construction for three decades. Prior to joining the Dwell team he permitted, designed and built multiple residential communities, casinos and retail complexes in Washington. His experience in interior design and architecture give him a holistic understanding of the construction process and make him an invaluable asset to Dwell. He hails from Iceland and brings with him the traditional Norse work ethic and awareness of innovative, sustainable building practices. When not on the job site, he is competing in power lifting or martial arts. Axel loves classic American cars and has restored over 300.

Max Ramirez has been with Dwell since its inception in 2005. He is an integral member of the team. Max is responsible for everything from landscaping, fencing, to punch list and customer service. His tireless work ethic is often marveled and admired by our homeowners and all in the Dwell community. When not working, Max plays the guitar and enjoys eating food from his native Nayarit with friends.
